Riches In Christ - Part 9

February 25, 2018

What about your community are you passionate about?

What would you want to tell everyone is THE most important thing to be concerned and consumed about? Hunger,  homelessness, abuse, civic duty, local government, education, or art and culture are just a few that come to mind.

Consider if you were writing to a local church on behalf of God, what would be the first instruction or command you would give to them? To love others? To serve the poor? To be morally pure? To read their Bible?

While those are all good, they are not what the Apostle shows us comes first when calling the local church to live out their faith. Listen as Lead Pastor John Almquist discusses what the Apostle Paul shares must mark the local church in order for it to be a healthy, New Testament church.

Join us Sunday's at 10am in New Braunfels, Texas at the McKenna Event Center.

Riches In Christ - Part 6

February 4, 2018

Likely you've been told by your parents, spouse, kids, friends, or even a complete stranger how special you are. The opposite is likely true as well. You, or someone you know, has been told how disappointing they are or made to feel 'less than'. Feeling like an outsider and the the desire to feel like an insider is not new. It has been around since before Jesus walked this Earth. The Apostle Paul addresses the discrimination of his day between two very diverse, very different people groups. From Ephesians 2:11-22 we look at Paul's instructions about how we are suppose to love one another. Pastor John Almquist looks at how we are to respond to all people. Riches In Christ - Part 5

January 28, 2018

Who are you? Likely someone has asked you that very question. Have you ever asked yourself "Who am I?" In case you're curious - the Bible has a lot to say about this subject. How you answer this question tells a lot about your view of God. Is He a God looking to slap you down with eternal disappointment every time you mess up? Is He an eternal grandfather that doesn't really care about you and is just okay with you no matter what you do or how you treat yourself and others. Neither view is biblical but is widely accepted. There is good news, no great news! Today Pastor John Almquist continues in part five of our study of Ephesians (Eph 2:1-3) looking at who God says we are in His eyes. Join us 10 AM Sunday mornings at McKenna in New Braunfels, Texas.

Riches In Christ - Part 4

January 21, 2018

Have you wanted something so much you knew it would change your life? Well.. maybe not change your life, but your life would be significantly better? Did you notice what happened once you obtained this coveted thing? Most likely it 'faded to black' as the next best thing appeared on the scene of your life. Today Pastor John Almquist continues in part four of our study of Ephesians (Eph 1:15-23) looking at the ultimate things we all want and need. These things of God are what we long for, what we are made for, and no amount of stuff on this earth will ever satisfy. It all fades to black in comparison. Join us 10 AM Sunday mornings at McKenna in New Braunfels, Texas.
